2016 Designed and made masks for "In The Eruptive Mode: Voices of the Hijacked Spring" by Sulayman Al Bassam, Sabab Theatre Kuwait.

'Dir. Sulayman Al Bassam's vision of 'In the Eruptive Mode' characters as "ordinary people caught short by the charge of history, either as observers, victims of circumstance, small-scale opportunists or desperate outsiders...collateral characters on the perimeters of experience," was translated as closely as possible to a striking but understated sartorial language.

Given that the show was about failed uprisings and hijacked revolutions, told from the perspective of 6 different female characters, [we] set out to communicate a sense of suppressed expression and covert rebellion.

As the stylist I commissioned masks by artist Deena Machina Qabazard which appeared to muzzle the protagonists when they were at the peak of their expression. '
